Jordan Museum

The permanent collection of the Jordan Museum spans thousands of years of history and culture in galleries laid out over two floors. Thinc collaborated with the museum team to conceive and design a complete reinstallation of the collection in two phases. In Phase One, we will renew the first floor, beginning with a new Orientation space. Artifacts from pre-history to the founding of Islam in the 7th century will map the early history of the place. Our design aims to highlight the Museum’s rich archaeological holdings and to convey the impact of first civilizations and multicultural history in creating this global crossroads. Phase Two on the second floor picks up from 7th century and comes to the present day. This gallery will directly address complex conversations about the role of culture and history in creating Jordanian identity today and for the future.
