BIM Manager
The successful candidate will have a strong interest in working as a key team member on world-class exhibition projects at varying scales with strong, culturally-based interpretive and experiential qualities. Experience in all phases of the physical design process, a penchant for working within collaborative team settings, and an interest in thinking and working out-of-the-box are essential.
- Manage and coordinate BIM standards development, implementation, and enforcement on all related BIM projects, files and models.
- Support each project team by managing and creating content library files and templates, creating and enforcing standards, and evaluating project models.
- Help teams develop strategies for effective delivery of quality documents and ensure that each project is set up correctly.
- Creation and maintenance of the template files to assure standards.
- Coordinate with Leadership team on selection of BIM software products, including but not limited to licensing compliance, incorporating new version releases, maintaining legacy software and customizing software for specific firm needs.
- Manage the implementation of supporting software and plug-ins for BIM and evaluate new BIM related software and technologies, specifically software products and their interaction with Revit.
- Stay informed on best practices for use of Revit, AutoCAD, and Rhino.
- Identify potential automated routines in BIM to support standards and productivity.
- Provide quality control for completeness and adherence to company standards of all design control drawings produced.
- Troubleshoot problems.
- Encourage fellow designers’ growth and autonomy.
- Must have a minimum of 10 years of experience as an architectural or exhibition designer.
- Must have a mastery-level skillset in AutoCad and Revit.
- Must have a strong skillset in Rhino and complex form-making.
- Must have proven capabilities to help develop creative, innovative, and aesthetically sophisticated solutions to complex design problems.

Senior Exhibition Designer
The successful candidate for our Senior Exhibition Designer position will have a strong interest in working as a key team member on world-class exhibition projects at varying scales with strong, culturally-based interpretive and experiential qualities. Experience in all phases of the exhibition design process, a penchant for working within collaborative team settings, and an interest in thinking and working out-of-the-box are essential.
- Act as Project Director for one or more projects simultaneously, oversee global project development and design.
- On specified projects, act as primary creative and conceptual form-giver, and key creative representative with client team
- Lead creative design development and form-giving, under supervision of Design Director
- Direct subordinate designers' project work while encouraging their growth and autonomy
- Integrate the contributions of content and digital teams
- Provide weekly input to Studio Manager on personnel needs on a project-by-project basis
- A minimum of 10 years of experience as exhibition designer or as designer in exhibition-related field.
- Proven capabilities to develop creative, innovative, and aesthetically sophisticated solutions to complex design problems.
- Must be creative, energetic, inquisitive designer with good sketching skills and 3D spatial awareness
- Experience in CAD-based design solutions and mixed physical-digital environmental design.
- Curiosity toward different subject matter and toward the way the public understands the material is essential.
- Background in exhibition, architecture, theatrical design, or industrial design.

Project Manager
The successful candidate for our Project Manager position will have a keen interest in working as a pivotal team member on world-class exhibition projects at varying scales that have strong interpretive and experiential aspects and are often associated with and tightly coordinated with significant building projects. Experience in all phases of the design process and a penchant for working within collaborative team settings are essential.
- In collaboration with Lead Designer, develop and maintain strategies for project development and execution
- Act as primary client liaison for one or more projects
- Work with a diverse project team to oversee work flow and internal project resources, drawing production, architectural coordination, project sub-consultants, client contacts, schedule, meetings, travel, etc.
- Direct and manage production of drawings and other project documentation
- Direct and effectively utilize Project Administrator(s) to manage and maintain project records, minutes, schedules, travel, etc.
- Act as mentor to and guide to less experienced team members
- In collaboration with Production Director, develop and ensure conformance with QC documentation and design standards
- Act as primary representative during CA phase, making shop visits, reviewing shop drawings, responding to RFIs, and making site visits as appropriate.
- Professional degree in architecture (BArch/MArch)
- Minimum 10 years of architectural or complex exhibition design experience.
- Production and technical experience through all phases of project design, documentation and construction administration, with a minimum of 3 years of proven organizational and project management experience.
- Experience estimating project resource needs for proposals and resourcing
- Demonstrated ability to direct, motivate and manage a diverse project team.
- High degree of capability in CAD, Revit, 3D environment (specifically Rhino and Grasshopper).
- Experience in digital fabrication techniques
- Experience on international projects is a plus

Exhibition Designer
The successful candidate for our Exhibition Designer position will have a keen interest in working as a key team member on world-class exhibition projects at varying scales with strong, culturally-based interpretive and experiential qualities. Experience in all phases of the design process, a penchant for working within collaborative team settings, and an interest in thinking and working out-of-the-box are essential.
- Act as designer within a multidisciplinary team and under the supervision of a project manager on one or more projects simultaneously.
- Contribute to creative design development and form-giving
- Develop designs through hand sketching, in 3D software, CAD, and Revit,
- Visualize design ideas as shaded models, physical models, or sketches
- Draft and produce drawing sets as part of a coordinated team of designers
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as exhibition designer or as designer in exhibition-related field or a professional degree in design
- Capability for creative application of design in a mixed physical-digital exhibition environment
- Experience in CAD-based design and documentation.

Curator, Experience & Interpretation
The successful candidate will have a strong interest in working as a key team member on world-class exhibition projects at varying scales with strong, culturally-based interpretive and experiential qualities. Experience in all phases of the exhibition development process, a penchant for working within collaborative team settings, and an interest in thinking and working out-of-the-box are essential.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams consisting of designers as well as curatorial, exhibitions, evaluation, and other areas to develop special exhibition and permanent collection interpretive plans
- Lead teams in planning visitor experiences for exhibitions; lead the development of major themes and experiences; work closely with designers and other team members in the development of visitor experiences
- Work creatively with the design team to conceive and develop exhibitions
- Produce interpretive materials, including research and writing, creative treatments, walkthroughs, experience diagrams and other outputs that characterize and give life to prospective visitor experiences
- Work closely with constituent communities, gathering first-hand information, running workshops, and processing findings into usable exhibition ideas and material
- Work closely with user assessment colleagues, leading workshops, participating in studies of visitor attitudes, perspectives, and behaviors, and integrating user data into the content development process
- Manage development of content and experience for interpretive media, in collaboration with colleagues with curatorial, publication, and digital media expertise
- Research content and recommend strategies for object and exhibition interpretation
- Manage workflow and schedule of content research, and writing; manage internal personnel allocations; supervise junior colleagues in content development; oversee project deliverables
- Maintain personal currency in storytelling, interpretation, user assessment, exhibition, multimedia, and scientific and social trends relevant to the firm’s work
- Mentor subordinates and contribute to their professional development
- A minimum of 5 years recent exhibition or museum experience involved in planning, development and evaluation of interpretation
- Ability to demonstrate understanding and practical application of critical issues in museum interpretation, visitor experience development and the ways in which people of all ages learn
- Ability to develop imaginative and creative interpretive strategies and media that stimulate interest and engage people of all ages
- Experience working with User Assessment and integrating the results with the interpretive planning process, including hands-on experience in on-site interviews, workshops, etc.
- Excellent oral communication skills and the capacity to write in an engaging manner for various audiences

Project Administrator

- Support Project Manager in coordinating internal team
- Provide meeting support to the Project Manager
- Maintain project records
- Support Project Manager in liaising with client
- Support Project Manager in liaising with Thinc partners
- Make travel arrangements under Project Manager’s direction
- Assist Project Manager in assuring conformance with Thinc QC documentation and design standards
- Support Project Manager through CA phase
- Minimum 5 years of project administration.
