Dynamics of the Earth, Naturalis

Learn to read the earth

It's a simple premise: the earth's crust is changed by two sources of energy, the sun, which smoothes and weathers the surface, and the earth, which shifts and wrinkles it through plate tectonics. Dynamics of the Earth opens visitors' eyes to these powerful forces by decoding the record of change written in rocks and sediment. Read the rocks, follow the energy -- suddenly the landscape is filled with stories.
